Child Pornography Production

A conviction on charges of producing child pornography could land in jail for many years.

If you are accused in New Hampshire of child porn production, you will need to secure a lawyer to defend you. You’ll want a highly qualified criminal defense attorney like Michael Anzalone.

Michael Anzalone of The Anzalone Law Firm has successfully defended child porn cases. His goal is to get the best possible outcome for you.

These are serious charges. And you could be facing a lengthy federal jail sentence. So you will want to make sure your lawyer is qualified to try cases on the federal level. Michael Anzalone works in both the state and federal jurisdictions and will defend your case aggressively.

To emphasize the seriousness of these charges, in October 2017, a judge in Concord, New Hampshire sentenced a 28-year-old man to 21 years in prison for producing child pornography.

In this case, the man was accused of sending explicit photos of a 5-year-old girl to an undercover agent as the two chatted on a social media app. Investigators learned that the man had taken the images of the girl who was an acquaintance. He was accused of producing child porn.

So, you can see how easy it is to not only be arrested but to be convicted and end up in prison for many years. This is a crime that police officers and prosecutors take a hard line on. And a judge may throw the book at you, as he did in the case outlined above.

As your attorney, Michael Anzalone will want you to be honest and upfront with him as he prepares your defense. This is an embarrassing crime, but he needs your cooperation in order to build a strong case.

The state’s Criminal Code has a section _ RSA 649:3 _ that deals with all child pornography.

In terms of producing _ or creating _ child pornography, the law is clear:

II. If such person has had no previous convictions in this state or another state for the conduct prohibited in this section, the defendant may be sentenced to a maximum sentence not to exceed 30 years and a minimum sentence not to exceed 1/2 of the maximum. Upon conviction of an offense under this section based on an indictment alleging that the person has been previously convicted of an offense under this section or a reasonably equivalent offense in an out-of-state jurisdiction, a person may be sentenced to life imprisonment or for such term as the court may order.

Again, this is a sensitive issue and an extremely serious one. If you have been accused, you face a long prison sentence if you are convicted. And this can happen if you simply produce one graphic image of a child.

If you are arrested you will face many consequences, including possibly losing your job and even your family. This can be highly embarrassing for all of you.

The best advice is to avoid all child pornography. But if you’ve been arrested, please call us today at The Anazalone Law Firm in Nashua, New Hampshire for a free consultation.

Can't say enough about how helpful he was every step of the way. It was really nice to feel like I actually understood what was going on with my case. Catherine Veilleux
